Budget cuts will create a 'forgotten Britain', charities warn

Government cuts to public services are threatening to create a 'forgotten Britain', head of the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO) Sir Stephen Bubb has warned earlier this month.

Sir Bubb, whose organisation represents the charity establishment, also said that charity chiefs have spoken to him about concerns over an increasing wealth disparity, which is making the public more suspicious and critical of the poor.
